Confessions of a Nymphomaniac

You were once

The scent of a new book

Lovingly picked

Fresh off the shelves

Untampered with

I got you home

And made you my own

Drowning in that aroma

Untill it filled my lungs

Oxygenating my body

Millions of cells

I delved deeper

Into your pages

Untill you lost your charm

To enthral and excite me

My tiniest of the cells

And long before

I could turn the last page

You faded into nothing, honey…

And that’s when I knew..

I needed a new book
