You weren’t as red as love

Neither as dark as the danger.

You weren’t as blue as of trust

Neither were you as gloomy too.

You weren’t as green as refreshment

Neither as worthy of envy.

You weren’t as orange as the playfulness

Neither were you as hasty to be hurried.

You weren’t as pink as innocence

Neither were you as gullible as a kid.

You weren’t as black as sophisticated

Neither were you as edgy as the same.

You weren’t as purple as the romance

Neither were you as captivating too.


You were as yellow as fire…

Both lighting me up

And burning me down.
